Princess arrival: The princess will call you when she is on the way and text you when she has arrived. She will park a few houses down or in an inconspicuous location so that the children do not see her entering and exiting her car. If you’d like her to knock or walk in to music, that is completely up to you! Please let the princess know any special arrival instructions the day of the booking. Get your cameras ready! This is almost always when we get the best warm hugs and surprised faces! If your little one is a bit shy, please do not worry. We will get lots of pictures throughout the party.
Magical Photo Opportunity: While you will be able to capture the magic moments throughout the party, it is best to start with posed photos. Please guide your character to the location that you would like to take photos in front of. Sometimes this is the cake table or a backdrop that you have set up. They will then take individual photos, starting with the birthday girl! Your party princess will bring autograph cards and sign her name on one for each child to take home.
Interactive Story time: The adventure begins with an interactive storytime. Our party princesses transport children to magical worlds filled with wonder and excitement, captivating their attention and setting the stage for the princess birthday party festivities ahead. Princesses will often engage with the children by asking them questions, prompting responses, and having them make noises and sounds that go along with the story. Sitting and reading the story allows for the children to adapt to meeting their favorite princess in person! It can definitely be overwhelming and the princess will often let them touch their dress, gloves, cape, etc if they wish.

It completely depends on a few factors like the party atmosphere, how many kids there are, if the kids need more time to warm up, etc. on if we will bring out the color sheets. If color sheets are important to you or your little ones, simply let us know and we will make sure they are in the set list! We will often bring them out at this time to entertain kids that are waiting to get their glitter. Your party may have other entertainment aspects, like a bouncy house, and that is fine too!
Glitter Bar: Everyone gets to sparkle and shine with our glitter station! Children (and adults!) can add a touch of magic to their look by adding one of glitter color options as a fun and festive way to embrace their inner sparkle. The glitter is made with aloe vera but if your little ones can’t use aloe, please let us know in your Pre-Party Questionnaire and we will make sure they have an alternative. We will also have glitter nail polish, temporary tattoos, and tulle ribbons for hair. We do have the option to upgrade your glitter bar with glitter stencil tattoos that will last about two days! Dance Party: Get ready to sing and dance to the songs you all know and love! Each child will receive a ribbon wand to keep and use during dancing. The Unicorn Princess will have a set list of songs that plays throughout the party. If you have any special requests, please make sure we know at least one week before the party in your Pre-Party Questionnaire. Our characters do not have live singing into a microphone. Instead, they will be engaging the kids and interacting with them. They will do iconic moves, dreamy twirls, and will encourage your little ones to follow along with them! Holding hands and dancing in a circle is also a crowd pleasing moment full of excited giggles and happy smiles!
Take your party to the next level with optional dance lessons led by the Unicorn Princess to the song “Happy Birthday Princess.” This is an easy to follow along, repetitive combo. It is super cute and all ages are welcome to join in, including the adults! We do try to do this at every party but sometimes there are some personalities or age limitations that it may not be a good fit for. Please let us know if you’d like this included in your Pre-Party Questionnaire.
The Happy Birthday Song: Gather around as we shower the birthday girl with love and well wishes, making them feel like the star of the show. Your Unicorn Princess will stand near the birthday girl and lead the room in singing so that you can focus on getting photos/videos. If you want to add on your own traditional song after, please do so! We love to experience all of the ways families in DC, Maryland, and Virginia celebrate birthdays. As a birthday gift, the Unicorn Princess will bring a special necklace for the birthday girl so that she can always remember their special day together!
Departure: It is sadly time for your Unicorn Princess to proceed to the nearest rainbow to get back to Unicorn Land! She will tell all of the little ones goodbye and get one last hug from the birthday girl. This is a great time to pass out cake and food or to start presents to distract everyone from her departure. Please walk your character to the door and she will be on her way back to a land far, far away!
Customization
We have many magical customization options that you can choose from inside your Party Proposal at any time! These will be automatically added to your invoice when you make selections.
Glitter Tattoos: These tattoos last up to two days! Each tattoo takes about 2 minutes to complete. If you have more than 8 children but still want glitter tattoos, we highly recommend adding an assistant or additional time so that all standard package activities can be completed.
Friendship Bracelets: This includes enough beads and string for up to 12-15 attendees. The character will supply all craft supplies. This will take the place of the color sheet activity that is included in the 1-hour package. This must be requested at least one week in advance of the party.
Unicorn Headbands: Add flower unicorn headbands to your party’s make over. This comes with 10 headbands and additional headbands are $2 each. Special request only, limited availability!
Assistant: An assistant is a great addition if you would like an extra set of hands to help the party run smoothly. Their responsibilities would be to help gather the kids to do activities, take photos and videos, and to help with general party needs. They can help capture every hug and make sure you get your family portrait with the cake. The photos and videos would be taken on a phone and uploaded to a Google Drive after your party.

Please note all props and boas will be returned to the box at the end of the fashion show. Get your cameras ready for these fashionistas! Once everyone is all dolled up, they will walk down the runway and strike a pose! The birthday girl will get to keep one pair of heart shaped sunglasses as her birthday gift.

Coronation Ceremony: Every birthday prince or princess deserves a royal coronation ceremony, complete with a dazzling rhinestone tiara and an official coronation certificate. It's a crowning moment that symbolizes their reign over the day's festivities and makes them feel like true royalty. The party princess will lead the group in “Princess Lessons” or “Royalty Lessons” if there are girls and boys. At the end, the birthday girl will be crowned and everyone will be granted one special royal wish. The character will have a wand that they will sprinkle wishing dust (glitter) over each attendee so that they may go in love and laughter, and live each day happily ever after.

An extra rhinestone tiara headband and official princess certificate. Note: one tiara is included in all one hour packages. Parents with more than one child may select this option to add a tiara for the siblings.

This will take the place of the color sheet activity that is included in the 1-hour package. This must be requested at least one week in advance of the party.
Glitter makeovers: In addition to the face glitter, this will include a shimmer eye shadow, glitter nail polish, glitter hair spray, and princess tattoos.
